Festivals

September 9, 2007

We had our first culture experience in Germany. They love festivals and celebrations! Local restaurants set up booths to sell food, and all the money goes towards local clubs and organizations. So Nolan and I checked it out yesterday evening so we could sample some German food. We stuffed ourselves with crepes, bread and cheese, cheesecake....and Nolan had some bratwurst. His first real bratwurst in Germany! In the center was a stage with a band playing old American tunes....we found that funny! It was fun seeing the community come together and celebrate. We plan on going back today to sample more food. Nolan is looking foward to some more bratwurst!

Hello There!

It is so great to hear from and know that everything is going well with you. I am in one of those crazy weeks at work, and just now could go over all your notes. Bryan and I miss you guys and we are here for whatever you need. I will try to check this blog more often.

Miss you and Bryan much! Miss those spontaneous "let's go eat Mexican food" moments!

We now are trying the new Mexican Restaurante close to our house: El Sombrero, we like better than La Terraza.

Sunday is Bryan's birthday and guess where we are going to eat????
Mexican of course, you know he loves mexican food :)We will have some friends (the same ones) and you and Nolan will be missed :(

Take care!

It is so good to finally find your blog and be able to keep up to date on your time in Germany.
Praying that you would really know Gods' presence in all you do.

You do realise that Ballymena is only a short flight away now... There will always be a place to stay for a quick getaway.

Much love
Norma
